Mum's and Dad's bundled together

Hi Friends,

Well still here in the hotel waiting for our furniture to arrive and have been working on a number of different products I have started and stopped and started again.  So close to finishing my volume and capacity unit, but in the meantime I have updated my Fathers Day card and gift set and bundled my Mothers Day and Fathers Day packets so you can have both at a reduced price!  Love a bargain!  Click on either pic to go to the bundle.

I am going toleave you with a few pics of Hobart and a little day trip we took on the long weekend

This is looking at Mt Wellington from our hotel.  There will be snow on the mountain when the weather cools down

We are finally near the ocean, and you know how kids just don't seem to feel the cold?  Well his feet were like iceblocks after frolicking in the waves for about half an hour.  This beach is about 5 min from where we will be living.

This is an old convict coal mine about an hour out of Hobart, it is nearly 200 yrs old and has a very dark history but very interesting.

Well I hope you enjoyed this little tour, looking at putting some new products up this week before our furniture arrives on Friday!!!!  Woohoo!

I'm melting, I'm melting.......

Well those of you who are Down Under know that over the last week we have had some very, very hot weather.  Where I live has been no exception, today and yesterday were the first days that we had under 42 degrees C (that's 109F for you northern folk).  We have been lucky in that we have not been affected by the fires but we live in a rural area and many of the outlying properties and farms have had pasture destroyed and livestock lost.

All this hot weather has kept me inside in the air conditioning and after I cleaned out my study, cleaned the rest of the house, made a huge amount of salads, hounded the children to clean their rooms including their closets and under their bed (I'm sure they forget we were kids once and know all their tricks) there was not much else to do except........get working on some resources, so for your viewing pleasure ladies and gents I give you.....

Snowball Fight!  A Place Value Bingo game

and Length Measurement Task cards for inches, feet and yards

Just click on either pic to go to my TpT store.  Both of these resources are 20% for one week but the first person to leave a comment will get to choose one to have for their very own for FREE!

If you haven't entered yet, there is still time just click on the pic and it will take you to the post where you have the chance to win prizes from some fabulous bloggers like

Rhonda @ Classroom Fun

I also wanted to share some pics from our Maths tubs this week.  My kiddos love doing maths tubs and it is a great way to revise and reinforce every Strand in the curriculum on a daily basis.

These kiddos are playing Place Value Snap (click to check it out at TpT) and decided to change it to Place Value Go Fish.

Matching pairs of numeral and expanded form.  There is also a set with MAB pictures

These kiddos are using centimetres to draw pictures.

I am currently using this concept (excuse my really poor pictures, I am so not an artist) to make task cards with measuring in centimetres, metres and millimetres.
Well on that note must toddle off and finish my packet. (I promise it will look better than those really terrible pictures.)
Enjoy the rest of the week!

Ladybug, ladybug fly away home.

I have been very inspired by Spring lately and thus my Ladybug Subtraction from 20 packet was created.

When we go back to school we have only one term left of our school year and I always start to panic that I have not consolidated all the skills my kiddos need.  I have a group of lowies that just don't seem to have got all the basics under their belt this year and they will be moving into Grade 3 next year!  So I created this packet to go into my Maths Tubs (you can read about them here) so that they will have a chance to consolidate the subtraction concept while still being able to move forward with the rest of the class.  Subtraction is going to be a big focus in our classroom when we return to school, as well as division so there will be more coming related to these concepts.
I will have this on sale for 20% off for the first week, hope you enjoy it,  you can check it out here at TpT

Multiplication I have, who has

I have put my multiplication I have, who has...? cards on TpT.

This is from the x2 tables

This is for the x3 tables

This is from the x10 tables

It is a zipped file and has all the tables from x2 through to the x12 tables.  I actually call them loop cards but I have noticed that others call them I have, who has. I have used these in my classroom for years for so many topics!  I have phonics, sight words, adjectives, addition, subtraction, division...it really is endless.  I will be looking at updating some of my files now that I am on holidays so keep an eye out as these will be available in the next couple of weeks.  If you would like a set of "I have, who has?" cards visit my store here, or click on one of the above pics.  They are on sale for the next week at 20% off normal price.
I will give a free set to the first person who leaves a comment because I am happy, happy, happy to be on holidays!  Remember to leave your email address.
